Beginning with a grounding meditation and simple movement practice, this three-hour, live-streamed class explores a variety of intuitive painting techniques using TREES as our subject matter. The focus is on creating from a place of rooted, embodied intuition, while reaching towards freedom, spontaneity, and the courage to create in new, innovative ways.
The materials needed are a basic set of acrylic paint, a variety of paint brushes, a spray bottle full of water, a cup of water for your brushes, rags, and four sheets of watercolor paper or canvas. Please be sure your paper is at least 18″ x 24,” but larger will allow for even more freedom. In the class, you’ll see me work on watercolor paper that is 30″ x 22.” You will also need some trees to reference, either real trees you can see while you paint or images of trees from books or that you’ve printed out.
No painting experience is necessary, come as you are!
